2001 Monte Rosso Zinfandel - nice drink, great zin flavors but without much spice or briar. This is typical of Monte Rosso in my experience. Tight acid. (2005-06-20)

2000 Syrah - good value (around $7), quite acidic to make it good with a barbecue. The Syrah character is starting to come out with some plum and coffee, but the acid keeps it really bright. (2005-06-20)

2003 Saralee's Vineyard Pinot Noir - there was just a hint of secondary fermentation going on which was off-putting and which brought down the score. Otherwise, it was huge, tart, extremely strawberry, medium ruby color, with some vanilla (2005-09-29)
